Meet Karrilee Aggett

Trusting a stranger to create a scrapbook filled with Blessed Memories is a leap of faith in and of itself... so I would like to let you know a bit more about me before we enter into this fun creative project together!

My name is Karrilee Aggett. I am a wife of 15 years, and a mother to one adorable 12 year old daughter! We are currently living in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest city of Yakima, WA. I was born and raised in this town, as was my husband. I have many hobbies, including rubber stamping, scrapbooking, writing, photography, interior design, and traveling. I have always enjoyed playing with different colors and textures, whether it be in nature/photography, or interior design, fashion, or with scrapbook papers!

After years of scrapbooking, and making several albums as gifts for family members, I began to get the idea that some people would appreciate owning a scrapbook of their own, but just don’t have the time, patience, or creativity to do it themselves. Some of my best scrapbooking friends are never caught up and many of them have mentioned wanting to have blank layouts made for them to help them catch up and get current! So, I finally decided to do just that: to offer my services to other scrappers who want a page here and there, as well as those of you who do not partake in this hobby, but want a piece of art just the same!

My personal scrapbook style is clean and modern. I can do any style that you like, however - from soft and romantic, to busy and whimsical. I stay up-to-date on the newest trends, subscribing to various Scrapbook magazines, and am always willing to try something new! In my own albums I tend to do a mix of these styles to help please the eye. As for how many photos I include on a page, it is always relative. It depends on what the entire layout includes! In the beginning of my scrapbooking - I would cram as many photo’s onto one page as possible… it seemed like wasted space to have only ONE photo on a page. I rarely do just a single photo - but I do see now that some photographs are special or warrant a highlighting on their own!

Since I am a writer... you can imagine just how important journaling and telling the story behind the pictures is for me! I love to include Quotes - whether they are famous, or just from our own little family, as well as poems, song lyrics, and personal stories when possible! I generally use the 12 x 12 size albums. I do create albums of a smaller size if it is more suitable for the project at hand. I have made many Mini albums for gifts as well as simple vacation albums, or holiday albums. As for cropping photos, I believe a little cropping can go a long way. I do not crop every photo - sometimes the background itself will tell a story in the years to come…so I like a mixture of cropped and uncropped photo‘s. If you have any photo’s that you absolutely do not want cropped - just let me know! I completely understand!

I love this hobby and have remained ‘up to date’ on my own projects. I love to create layouts and albums so much so that I am looking forward to helping you create your own work of art that is sure to be a treasured heirloom to give as a gift, or enjoy yourself before passing it on down through the generations!
